Nationally Recognised Training is delivered by QMRS trainers on behalf of Performance Training Pty Limited, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 1718).
Underground Coal Mine Emergency Response and Rescue Team Training Program

This training will provide you with skills and knowledge to work effectively as a member of an Underground Coal Mine Emergency Response and Rescue Team. Training is delivered by specialist QMRS trainers at Blackwater and Dysart Rescue stations. If approved resources are available, units of competency within the program can also be trained at an underground minesite.

Surface Coal Mine Emergency Response Team Training Program

This training will provide you with skills and knowledge to work effectively as an Emergency Response Team Member responding to a variety of emergency incidents in a surface mine environment. Training is delivered by specialist QMRS trainers at Blackwater and Dysart Rescue stations. If approved resources are available, units of competency within the program also can be trained at a surface mine site.

Underground Coal Mine Inertisation Team Operations Training Program

This training will provide you with skills and knowledge to work effectively as an underground coal mine inertisation team member. Training is delivered by specialist QMRS trainers at Dysart Mine Inertisation Unit (MIU) Maintenance Facility.  The program covers the following units of competency from 10242NAT Certificate III in Underground Coal Mine Inertisation Team Operations:

Mine Event Management System (MEMS) Training Program

The MEMS training program provides you with the skills and knowledge to organise and manage a structured and efficient response to an emergency situation at a coal mine.

The MEMS course can be contextualised to focus on either underground or surface mining operations. It is delivered at QMRS facilities or onsite as required. The applicable unit of competency for:

  • underground operations is RIIERR501E Implement underground coal mine emergency preparedness and response systems
  • surface operations is RIIERR503D Implement emergency preparedness and response systems
Underground Coal Mine Control Room Operator Program

This program will provide you with the skills and knowledge to work effectively as an underground coal mine control room operator. The program is predominantly delivered on site, provided suitable resources are available.

This training covers the following units of competency from RII30218 Certificate III in Underground Coal Operations:

  • RIIGOV201E Comply with site work processes/procedures
Conduct Atmospheric Monitoring Program

The training will provide the skills and knowledge required to identify and monitor gases and other airborne contaminant in mining operational areas and confined spaces. The program is delivered by specialist QMRS trainers at Blackwater and Dysart Rescue stations. If requested, it can be conducted at other facilities if QMRS approved resources are available.
