This training will provide you with skills and knowledge to work effectively as a member of an Underground Coal Mine Emergency Response and Rescue Team. Training is delivered by specialist QMRS trainers at Blackwater and Dysart Rescue stations. If approved resources are available, units of competency within the program can also be trained at an underground minesite.

This training will provide you with skills and knowledge to work effectively as an Emergency Response Team Member responding to a variety of emergency incidents in a surface mine environment. Training is delivered by specialist QMRS trainers at Blackwater and Dysart Rescue stations. The training will provide the skills and knowledge required to identify and monitor gases and other airborne contaminant in mining operational areas and confined spaces. The program is delivered by specialist QMRS trainers at Blackwater and Dysart Rescue stations. If requested, it can be conducted at other facilities if QMRS approved resources are available.
